CULTURAL INSPIRATION: There are numerous superimpositions of drawings located in the Magnificent Gallery near Laura, Cape York Peninsula, Queensland. The superimpositions have been created over thousands of years. Many are very obscure and hard to define. This particular piece of Aboriginal rock art depicts a central figure that is larger than life-size and wears a pendant. Magnificent Gallery is located in Quinkan Country, and has an impressive array of about 450 rock paintings on a 130’ long back wall.
